Today, her spot has been usurped by The Scarab God, a ridiculous creature that gives you far more value for a lower mana cost and dodges most commander tax
I love when the card just comes together in all three places
But, with Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, Rose Room Treasurer, etc., there are enough synergies that this is a reasonably reliable deck
Firstly, it gives a significant cost reduction of two to all creatures
It rewards smart sacrificing and moving of counters, and has some fairly large creatures of its own to allow you to enact your gameplan with minimal interruptions
It involves copying your creatures and using energy counters to let them stick around (or, in some cases, letting them die to take advantage of death triggers)
