This set is a great entry point for new Magic players
It is a premise that is very reminiscent of the mainline Pokmon games, as well as the classic anime, with the only difference being battling with cards instead of monsters
This is often used as a way to keep old cards up to date with current terminology, but can also be sparingly used for the sake of balancing the game
This set introduced the Sing Along ability, which has been used to create some great moments
Its an elegant play that might have actually won him the game
Meanwhile, Pokmon Japan had already switched to using the silver border exclusively in 2010, with the introduction of BW1: Black Collection and BW1: White Collection
