special effects that deal damage to your opponent in different ways
When combined with mass negates like Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched can wipe the opponent's field and punish long-winded combo decks easily
But it also has a unique ability that can permanently exile a permanent if Oblivion Ring is removed in response to its own ETB trigger
While hard removal can be a bit of an issue, theres a lot of fun to be had in flooding the board with Dalmatian Puppies and turning everything sideways
Once you transform it into Krothuss, Lord of the Deep, youll effectively have a 3/5 flying commander that can copy other attacking creatures you control
I have a bias for Volrath, the Shapestealer, who is in the running for my favorite commander from the set
