done in a three up pattern

oxidized nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over walnut

The guide wraps are 326 red with some bag impression on one side

and light streamers as well

GH Halstead Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #5/6 New Arrival Used but excellent condition overallA rare George Halstead bamboo fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 or #6 line. Strong DF action. Light use judging by the guidewear and general straightness but I would rate the condition as fair due to some chips and adhesion patches on the varnish. This rod would be an excellent candidate for a sanding and dip over. The story goes that Halstead had a lot of customers who fished the big Delaware and needed a rod to toss lots of line. Tom
