It was sporadic and worn well when we found it so we stripped it down as much as we could to reveal its natural black iron base

The bottom surface has some pitting from over the years of use on a traditional wood stove

However for cooks, its just a fantastic egg skillet to own. Similar in handle and design, it sits flat and will cook up one or two eggs in a flash.
