An author and Holocaust survivor, Rankin is profoundly inspired by his wifes life, illustrating two of her books about the Holocaust and producing a series pivoted around Jewish and matrimonial themes. This particular work (in a different colour) even graced the cover of Brett's 2021 memoir 'Old Seems to be Other People'. Wide eyed, world weary and washed in colour, Rankins depiction is a
